Coughlan to open IDA office in California

Tánaiste Mary Coughlan is due to officially open an IDA office in the US state of California today.

The move is designed to help bolster links between US companies and Ireland.

More than 460 American companies employ more than 100,000 people in Ireland, making the US Ireland's largest source of foreign investment.

The IDA has 13 offices around the world, including newly opened bases in Shanghai and Mumbai.
