Climb for ISEQ
The Irish Stock Exchange gained ground today as the ISEQ index jumped 57.09 points to 2,392.88 by midday this morning.
In the financial sector, Irish Life and Permanent continued its recent resurgence, jumping 19c to €2.26. Allied Irish Banks lost 6c to 91c, with Bank of Ireland unchanged at 80c.
The biggest gain of the day came for DCC, which climbed 61c to €12.99. CRH was not far behind, improving 54c to €16.92.
Smaller but nevertheless significant gains also came for Kerry Group (up 13c to €14.38), Elan (up 12c to €4.62) and Ryanair (up 11c to €3.14).
There were some losses however, as Paddy Power sunk 24c to €13.11 and FBD shed 15c to €6.30.
