ISEQ down at close
The ISEQ index of Irish shares ended in the red today, closing down 15.55 points to 2,266.81.
Index majors on the fallers board included Elan Corp, down 72c to 4.92; Kerry Group, shedding 15c to 14.20, and Kingspan, slipping 13c to 2.65.
Risers included CRH, up 13c to 16.33;, Paddy Power, cheering 9c to 12.44, and Ryanair, up 3c to 2.84.
Fortunes were mixed among the financials, with AIB a non-mover but Bank of Ireland, which held a special shareholder meeting in Dublin's Savoy Cinema today, slipping 2c to 0.50. Irish Life & Permanent, meanwhile, also lost 2c, to 1.12.
