Activists representing working and middle-class families descended on the lavish homes of American International Group (AIG) executives to protest at the millions in bonuses awarded by the struggling insurance company.

About 40 protesters arrived in Connecticut to urge AIG executives who received a portion of the $165m (€121m) in bonuses to do more to help families.
