Rescue plan agreed for retailer Adams

In the UK, a rescue deal has been agreed for children's retailer Adams, which has several stores across Ireland.

The plan will safeguard nearly 2,000 jobs at 120 branches in Britain.

The chain went into administration last month and 1,100 employees have already lost their jobs

The business has now been sold back to a previous owner, Northern Ireland businessman John Shannon.
