ISEQ shows marginal increase
The ISEQ index of Irish shares was valued at 2,397.65 at 11am this morning, an increase of 38.12 or 1.62%.
Despite the resignation of two executives in the fallout from the Anglo Irish Bank lodgments, Irish Life & Permanent was up 15c to €1.80. AIB was unchanged at 92, while Bank of Ireland was up 4c to 55c.
In other sectors, there were few to make major gains. Elan and Tullow Oil were both down 20c, to €5.89 and €8 respectively, while Merrion Pharmaceuticals was down 40c to €4.75.
