SR Technics loses major contract with Gulf Air

Aircraft maintenance firm SR Technics has confirmed that it has lost one of its largest customers.

Gulf Air has announced plans to terminate its contract with the firm in the coming months.

SR Technics employs 1,200 people in Ireland, but a spokesperson says it is too early to determine the impact on Irish operations.

Concern had already been growing about possible job losses at the company's operation in Dublin following the loss of some of its business with Aer Lingus.
