450 support jobs go at Woolworths

Around 450 support staff have been made redundant at ailing British retail chain Woolworths, administrators announced today.

The staff cuts – out of a total workforce of more than 25,000 – will affect the firm’s head office and support operations in London and Castleton, Rochdale.
