IBEC seeks extra assistance for exporting companies

The employers' body IBEC says exporting companies need more assistance to help them weather the current economic storm.

The organisation is outlining its position on how best to help Irish companies to the Oireachtas Enterprise Committee today.

It says 84% of goods produced in Ireland are exported and current exchange rates with Sterling and the US dollar are making Irish businesses less competitive.
