Govt asked to cut taxes on bottled water and juices
There has been a call for the Government to cut the tax on bottled water and fruit juices.
The Beverage Council of Ireland (BCI) says the VAT rate should be cut from 21% to the 13.5% rate.
The BCI says it would put €26m back into consumers’ pockets.
There has been a decline in the soft drinks industry and the council says the VAT changes would help create jobs.
