IL&P appoint non-executive director

The chairman of Irish Life & Permanent, Gillian Bowler, has announced the appointment of Liam O’Reilly as a non-executive director.

Liam O’Reilly is the former chief executive of the Irish Financial Services Regulatory Authority [IFSRA] and is chairman of the Chartered Accountants Regulatory Board. He is also a director of Merrill Lynch International Bank.

Speaking on the appointment, Gillian Bowler said that O'Reilly will bring a wealth of experience to the Group: “Liam’s long experience in financial services, public administration and economic and monetary policy both in Ireland and at EU level will be invaluable to the Group and I look forward to his contribution to the work of the Board”.
