Retail giant Marks & Spencer today announced plans to gain a bigger slice of the fast-growing Indian market by opening at least 50 new stores in the next five years.

M&S has agreed a £29m (€36.72m) joint venture with Indian retailer Reliance Retail for the move with hopes to establish itself as a major Indian brand.
