McCall resigns from Tesco board

Guardian Media Group boss Carolyn McCall today resigned from her post as non-executive director at Tesco amid a libel row between the supermarket and the Guardian newspaper.

Ms McCall said it would be "inappropriate" to continue in the role after Tesco launched legal action against the Guardian last week.
