Most small firms optimistic despite economic downturn

Almost two-thirds of small businesses in Ireland expect to grow rapidly over the next year, despite the economic downturn, according to a survey published today.

More than 400 companies on both sides of the border were contacted during the research by HP Ireland and the Small Firms Association.

HP Ireland says the findings are a reflection of the optimistic nature of Irish people and of entrepreneurs in general.
