Three week strike at Dublin refrigerator company ends

A strike at Novum refrigerators in north Dublin has ended.

The three week stoppage by over eighty workers was called off after the Labour Relations Commission upheld their claim that the method of selection for lay-offs should be last-in, first-out.

Varying settlement terms were accepted by SIPTU after management reversed a decision to shed staff on a skills basis.
