Kerry records €298m profit

Food group Kerry today posted an increase in profits before tax of 35% to €298m while profit after tax and charges increased by 38% to €246m.

In a statement Kerry said total group sales revenue increased to €4.8bn in 2007.

Against a backdrop of hikes in raw material and energy related costs the statement calls the performance "solid".
