Irish Cattle and Sheepfarmers Association (ICSA) beef chairman Seán Scully has said that beef is still too cheap and that farmers must get a €1 more than they did this time last year just to stay in beef production.

Irish Cattle and Sheepfarmers Association (ICSA) beef chairman Seán Scully has warned that farmers must get a €1 more than they did this time last year just to stay in beef production.

"We have seen other food commodities rising in the last few months but beef has been edging up very slowly, and is still a long way off any kind of profit margin," said Scully.
