Survey predicts rise in outsourcing in Ireland
iReach, an Irish market intelligence and research company, has said that more Irish businesses will turn to outsourcing in the year ahead.
iReach predicts that the anticipated slow-down in the Irish economy and the need for businesses to closely manage costs will boost the growth of IT and business process outsourcing throughout 2008 across companies of all sizes.
Managed Services have been widely used by Irish organisations, enjoying approximately 72% penetration in the Irish market.
The firm's annual survey of 250 IT executives anticipates that managed services will exceed €150m in 2008 up 25% over 2007, while business process and IT outsourcing will see exceptional growth of 30% to €450m in 2008.
