Engineering plant to shed up to 50 jobs in Kilkenny

Up to 50 people are to lose their jobs at an engineering plant in Co Kilkenny.

SFL Engineering is being put into liquidation following a reported drop in business.

Employees at the company have been laid off on a week to week basis since Christmas, but were expecting to be back at work by the end of this month.

They were notified of the company's closure yesterday evening.
