Hauliers say fuel price rises could cripple industry
Hauliers are warning that impending fuel price increases could cripple Irish industry and damage the economy.
With global oil prices continuing to reach new highs on an almost daily basis, the Irish Road Haulage Association says consumers will ultimately pay the price.
It says Ireland is the most truck-dependent country in Europe and will be hardest-hit by the rising prices.
It says those in authority need to stop sitting on their hands and take action before the economy begins to suffer.
