Dress up warm, cut heating bill
Wearing warm clothes around the house rather than turning up the central heating can save over €230 a year on bills, according to a new report released in the UK today.
Power giant E.ON said wearing socks and slippers, fleecy jogging bottoms and a jumper or cardigan will help keep thermostats at 21C.
Around €237 a year could be saved if thermostats were usually three degrees higher in the winter months, while more than a tonne of CO2 emissions could also be saved.
