Prudential gains from overseas growth

British-based financial services company Prudential's domestic business remained under pressure today after third quarter sales lagged behind its operations elsewhere in the world.

The Pru, which is reviewing the future of 3,000 jobs in its UK operation, saw domestic sales grow 8% to £523m (€751.1m) in the first nine months of the year - around half the 15% new business growth across the rest of the group.
