New board appointments for EBS
EBS Building Society has today appointed two new non-executive directors to its board of directors, Pat McCann and Liam Mulvihill.
The appointments are subject to the normal Financial Regulator approval process.
Pat McCann was formerly chief executive of Jurys Doyle Hotel Group, and was recently appointed chief executive of the Quality/Comfort Inn Hotel Group. He is also a non-executive director of Greencore Group plc and the Irish Heart Foundation.
Liam Mulvihill is the outgoing director general of the GAA, a position he has held since 1979. He also filled various roles with a number of State bodies throughout his career, including stints on the RTÉ Authority, Bord na Gaeilge, and the Irish Sports Council.
"We are delighted to welcome directors of this calibre to the board of EBS Building Society," said EBS chairman Mark Moran.
"I have no doubt that both Pat McCann, with his wealth of business experience from his background in Ireland’s foremost hotel group, and Liam Mulvihill, with his vast experience of running one of the largest member organisations in the country, will make important contributions to the Board of EBS."
