UK supermarket reaps dividend of brand overhaul
The Co-operative’s £100m (€147m) brand overhaul today looked to have paid dividends as the group unveiled its biggest annual rise in membership in its 160-year history.
The Manchester-based group, which completed a merger with Rochdale’s United Co-operatives in July, added 500,000 new members, an increase of 25%, since relaunching its “divi” scheme last year.
