Broadcaster ITV received a boost today after the British consumer affairs watchdog said it would review rules restricting how much it can charge for advertising at its main ITV1 channel.

The UK's Office of Fair Trading (OFT) said it would examine the Contract Rights Renewal (CRR) system, which determines ITV1’s advertising rates based on its audience figures.
