EU relaxes ban on British meat exports
British livestock, meat and dairy exports will be able to resume on Saturday after the European Union relaxed a ban imposed following an outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease in Surrey, England.
EU veterinary experts today backed a decision by the EU executive that limits the ban to a 10km surveillance zone around the infected farms.
