The Jurys Inns hotel chain is to be sold for €1.165bn.

The group of six hotels in Ireland and 14 in the UK will be taken over by Quinlan Private the property investment group which already has a stake in hotels througout Europe and North America.

Meanwhile the Jurys Doyle group will now concentrate on its luxury hotels in Ireland, the UK and US.
