Aer Lingus aids ISEQ lift
The ISEQ-index of Irish shares made some gains this morning with a 37.47-point boost to 9601.90.
Former state-owned airline Aer Lingus announced six new routes to be opened up by this winter allowing shares regain some lost ground.
Prices inched up 4c at €2.95 as airline bosses introduced new services from Dublin to Helsinki, Bucharest, Agadir and Funchal.
In addition, to services from Dublin to Copenhagen and Cork to Munich will also recommence..
Elsewhere, it was a mixed morning for the financial big guns. IL&P recovered slightly from yesterday's disappointing performance climbing 11c at €19.61. Bank of Ireland made a 5c gain at €16.35 while AIB dropped 5c at €22.35.
Meanwhile Anglo Irish Bank slipped by 1c at €16.46.
