Incoming Govt asked to prevent exploitation of seafarers

The incoming Government is being asked to agree new procedures to prevent the exploitation of seafarers in Irish waters.

The International Transport Federation, which is affiliated to SIPTU, said the fact that similar situations arise elsewhere in the world is no excuse for ignoring our obligations.
