Software firms to create 82 jobs
An IT company has announced plans to create around 50 new jobs in an expansion of its business in Cork.
Nitrosell, a software company that specialises in creating online stores for other firms, is planning to expand and open a new headquarters at the Airport Business Park.
The company's products are mainly sold in the US, but it has also entered the UK market and is hoping to expand into Europe, South America and Australia.
Meanwhile, the Japanese web content firm Gala Inc is planning to create 32 positions at a new European base in Dublin.
Announcing the company’s decision to locate its European HQ in Dublin, Minister for Enterprise Michéal Martin said: "Gala is a welcome addition to the thriving games industry in Ireland, and particularly in the Digital Hub in Dublin.
"The industry is a strategic target for IDA Ireland and we are becoming a location of choice for the world’s leading internet and digital content companies.
"The functions and responsibilities of the Irish operation will be in localisation, marketing and customer services for European users in each country’s local language - starting with German and French."
