Mobile operator secures top BBC comedy deal

Ireland’s mobile media network 3 has signed an agreement with BBC Worldwide to bring top BBC comedy to Irish mobile users for the first time.

3’s customers can now watch the BBC’s top shows Little Britain and The Office on the 3 mobile media network.

Simon Danker, Director, Digital Media said: "Experience in other markets shows that comedy is very popular over mobile and the new mobile media audience is a massively influential and growing market. Ireland has a high penetration of mobile phone users and a tendency to adopt new services quickly making it an ideal market to grow our mobile TV audience."

3 will offer a wide range of shows, ring-tones and wallpapers from both The Office and Little Britain. Downloads cost just 49c.
