UK housebuilder Wilson Bowden backed a £2.2bn (€3.3bn) takeover today in a deal that should net its co-founder a family fortune of more than £700m (€1.06m).

UK housebuilder Wilson Bowden backed a £2.2bn (€3.3bn) takeover today in a deal that should net its co-founder a family fortune of more than £700m (€1.06m).

The business is set to be sold to Barratt Developments after an auction involving a number of the UK’s leading housebuilding firms.
