BSkyB sees rise in customer numbers

Broadcasting group BSkyB today said it had enjoyed its best quarter for new customer additions in six years.

The group said it attracted 432,000 new digital-to-home customers in the second quarter to the end of December, with Sky Plus box sales breaking through the two million barrier and demand for its Sky high-definition product almost doubling in size after a strong Christmas period.
