German inflation rises for November

The annual rate of inflation in Germany increased to 1.5% in November, the federal statistics office Destatis has calculated.

The figure remains below the 2% ceiling set by the European Central Bank.

The German consumer price index (CPI) slipped by 0.1% in November from the figure for October.

In October, the annual inflation rate had been 1.1%.
