Testing time at Tullow Uganda well

Drilling has been suspended at the Kingfisher-1 exploration well in Uganda, in which Tullow Oil is a 50% partner, in preparation for production testing.

Heritage Oil, Tullow’s partner in the enterprise, says the well has been drilled to a depth of 2,125 metres, with encouraging indications of hydrocarbons. The test is expected to begin within a month and last up to three weeks.

After this test, it is expected to take another 60 days to drill to the target depth of between 3,000 and 4,000 metres.
