Output from Ugandan crude deposits being developed by companies including Tullow Oil and Total is unlikely to be exported as soon as the nation expects because of the scale of the infrastructure projects required to move the fuel out of the country.

TULLOW Oil has finally received conditional formal approval from the Ugandan Government for its purchase of the 50% stake in two licences previously owned by former production partner, Heritage Oil.

Drilling has been suspended at the Kingfisher-1 exploration well in Uganda, in which Tullow Oil is a 50% partner, in preparation for production testing.
