The new reduced rates will take effect from start of business on Monday, October 9 for all new and existing customers.

“Market conditions have allowed us to revisit our five-year and 10-year fixed rates, delivering exceptional value to the customer over the long term as a result,” said Helen Cassidy, marketing manager of Bank of Ireland Mortgages.

“This offer now places Bank of Ireland Mortgages as the market leader for two-year, four-year, five-year, 10-year and 20-year fixed rate mortgages, providing excellent value for money options and greater choice to our new mortgage customers."

Bank of Ireland Mortgages also announced decreases to its five-year and 10-year investment fixed rates for new and existing customers. The decreases will take effect from start of business on October 9 2006.
