ISEQ down as financials fail to perform

ISEQ 20 ETF shares were up 30c (2%) at €15.57. FBD was another share in the black, up 50c (1.3%) at €40.00.

Things weren’t looking so rosy for the financials. Bank of Ireland fell 10c to €14.65. Allied Irish Bank was down 8c at €20.22.

Anglo Irish Bank slipped 8c to €11.80. Irish Life and Permanent gained 1c to €19.23.

Ryanair was up 13c (1.8%) at €7.28.

CRH, the morning’s busiest share, fell 2c to €25.40.

Independent News & Media gained 2c to €2.33. The group will release its first-half results for this year on September 19.

Business support services group DCC was unchanged at €19.00, despite heavy trading.

Viridian was also level at €14.18. Energia, part of the group, has signed a nationwide power-supply agreement with Travelsavers Ireland.
