Overall gains in mixed day for ISEQ

The ISEQ gained 45.05 points to finish on 7640.62 today, with the financials making up for mixed results elsewhere.

Allied Irish Banks was the biggest gainer in the sector, moving up 27c to €19.82. Bank of Ireland was not far behind, gaining 24c to €14.39. Irish Life & Permanent saw solid gains (up 15c to €19.05) as Anglo Irish Bank inched up 9c to €11.45.
