Employers and job-seekers 'embracing online recruitment'

Irish employers and jobseekers are embracing the phenomenon of online recruitment, according to the company that runs careers website Monster.ie.

Monster Ireland says the website is receiving 300,000 visits per month.

It has seen a 36% increase in the number of CVs registered over the past year and a 79% increase in job searches.

Almost 85,000 jobs have been advertised on the Monster.ie site since the beginning of this year.
