TVR plant to close in the UK

Britain's car industry has suffered another blow.

Union officials have been told the country's biggest independent sports carmaker, TVR, is closing its UK factory.

Two hundred and sixty jobs will be lost.

Production at the company's Blackpool plant is believed to have fallen from twelve cars a week to just two.
