NTR profits up 5.8% in second half of last year

The company that operates Ireland's main toll roads has announced a 5.8% increase in profits in the second half of last year.

The company that operates Ireland's main toll roads has announced a 5.8% increase in profits in the second half of last year.

National Toll Roads said today that it made €32m between July and December.

It said the positive results reflect a significant growth in its waste and renewable energy businesses.

NTR said it was planning to invest at least €1.5bn over the next three years to pursue those business sectors.
