Wholesale gas prices in the UK remained near record levels today after yesterday’s unprecedented warning that demand was outstripping supply.

Wholesale gas prices in the UK remained near record levels today after yesterday’s unprecedented warning that demand was outstripping supply.

The price of natural gas was as high as 220p a therm (unit of heat) today after soaring from 61p to 255p yesterday as the cold weather continued to boost domestic demand.
