ISEQ down, IWP performing well
The ISEQ index lost 10.2 points to close at 7144.07 today.
Consumer-care products company IWP gained 1c (16.7%) to €0.04 as the company predicted performance for the six months to the end of September in line with expectations.
Ryanair was up 14c (1.9%) at €7.42.
Fyffes closed down 3c (1.4%) at €2.08. One of the company’s directors, Neil McCann, retired today after 55 years with the business.
Irish Continental finished the day up 13c (1.3%) at €10.23. Talks continue at the Labour Relations Commission in an effort to solve the long-running Irish Ferries industrial dispute.
AIB closed down 18c at €17.96, while Irish Life and Permanent lost 16c to €16.92.
Bank of Ireland, the day’s busiest share, fell 9c to €13.66. Anglo Irish Bank was up 7c at €11.99.
CRH fell 15c to close at €23.65.
