The Competition Authority has welcomed the announcement by Minister Micheál Martin that the Government intends to remove the Groceries Order.

In its submission to the Minister for Enterprise, Trade & Employment, the Competition Authority pointed out that Ireland has become one of the most expensive countries in the Euro-zone for food shopping.
