Businesses are being encouraged to communicate more with black and other ethnic minority employees.

About 40% of the cases on the books of the Equality Authority are race related.

Official figures show one in three people from ethnic backgrounds feel they were discriminated against in the past two years.

At the launch of Anti-Racist Workplace Week, Equality Authority chief Niall Crowley said employers, unions and workers must confront the problem together.
