Watergate scandal building sold

The Watergate office building in Washington that was the site of the infamous burglary in 1972 of the US Democratic National Committee office has been sold.

BentleyForbes, a Los Angeles real estate company, announced it paid $86.5m (€72m) to Trizec Properties of Chicago for the 11-storey Watergate office building and 61,000 square feet of nearby retail space, The Washington Post reported in today’s editions.
