40,000 new TSB current accounts this year

Permanent TSB bank has opened 40,000 new current accounts since the start of the year.

These accounts include those of 9,200 people who have switched to Permanent TSB from other banks, using a switching code from the Irish Bankers’ Federation (IBF). The bank says that, in fact, the majority of the new accounts belong to people who have switched from another institution.
