T-Mobile owner ditches O2 bid
The owner of T-Mobile today said it had no current plans to bid for UK rival O2 after failing to seal a takeover alliance.
German firm Deutsche Telekom confirmed that it had held talks with Dutch telecoms group KPN about tabling an offer – thought to be worth around £14bn (€20.5bn).
