ISEQ down in early trading
The ISEQ index was down 2.84 to 6761.3 today after a quiet morning on the Dublin market.
There were mixed fortunes for the financials. Anglo Irish was up 3c to €11.20 as AIB remained unchanged at €17.95.
Bank of Ireland and Irish Life & Permanent were both down. Bank of Ireland fell 5c to €13.73, while ILP was down 9c to €14.63.
Pharmaceutical giant Elan fell back from recent gains this morning, down 16c to €6.44.
Meanwhile, DCC plc announced this morning that, following clearance from the Competition Authority in Ireland, the acquisition of Pilton Company Limited has been completed. DCC stocks were unchanged at €18.25 this morning.
